I am a new communications hire for a conservancy and I have been interacting with the communities and listening in, attending events and sitting in conversations and building a running story bank and I'm starting to have materials but I don't yet have a confident method of doing so. My first question is what should I be looking for when I am in a room for the story bank? What makes a story worth capturing versus just an observation? How do I take notes in the field in a way that is useful later?
